New Church Website Officially Launched
On Tuesday 25th January 2005 a special meeting was held at Coleraine Free Presbyterian Church to officially launch the church’s website at www.ColeraineFPC.org. The new site contains details of the location of the church and service times as well as a brief outline of its doctrinal position. All announcements of special events are included and the devotional “Cheque Book of the Bank of Faith” by CH Spurgeon is updated on a daily basis. The main feature of the site is a database of audio sermons and radio broadcasts that are available in MP3 format. To date 100 sermons preached at the Sunday Morning and Evening services, Family and Friends services and Youth Rallies may be heard over the internet or downloaded to the user’s PC for listening to at a later date or for transfer to an MP3 player or similar device. The church has a regular radio broadcast each Sunday evening at 8:15PM on Radio North Country under the auspices of Let the Bible Speak Radio Ministry and over 50 of these programmes are now available in MP3 format in a listen-on-demand fashion on the website. The database of sermons and radio programmes is fully searchable and each sermon has its own unique page on the site. This page includes such information as the title of the sermon, date preached, the speaker and the Bible reference. In fact, the Scripture reference may also be read using the online Bible facility on the site. For those interested in conducting further study of the relevant chapter in the Scriptures, links are provided to Matthew Henry’s commentary (complete and concise versions), the Geneva Study Bible and John Wesley’s Notes on the Bible. The site went live a few days before its official launch during which time over 250 visits were made to the site with visitors coming from UK, USA, Australia, Germany and Hong Kong. We encourage everyone to visit the site and to make use of the resources available. While you are there, please take a few minutes to sign the guestbook and tell us about your visit.
