Tent Mission - Press Release

From Monday 11th to Friday 15th September a special children’s tent mission will be held on the grounds of Coleraine Free Presbyterian Church. Each evening, from 7PM to 7:45PM, there will be singing, scripture memorisation, quizzes and stories from the Word of God.

Colin Tinsley, a Children’s and Youth worker with the Free Presbyterian Church, will be the special guest to conduct the meetings. As part of his ministry he has spoken in more than 100 schools across Northern Ireland and will also be visiting most of the primary schools in Coleraine.

Colin from Lisburn grew up on a farm and worked for many years with Marks and Spencer. He now works full-time among children and young people and finds this aspect of Christian service very rewarding. This summer Colin has taken 13 Children’s Missions (Holiday Bible Clubs) together with 8 camps in every county across Northern Ireland. Colin’s wife Joanna, a professional artist, is from Poland and together they have lived and worked in Jamaica, Kenya, Australia and Vanuatu

A spokesman for the church said; “We are looking forward to this exciting event. Transport has been arranged to bring children from all parts of Coleraine to the mission and we plan to do a leaflet drop around the area inviting children to come along.”
